Curtis D. Rostad, CFSP, FACFE, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer with over 30 years experience as an employee, manager, and funeral home owner. He also has an extensive association management background.

He is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a board certified forensics examiner (FACFE) through the American College of Forensics Examiners.

He has authored over 50 articles for funeral service trade publications as well as authoring numerous training manuals for funeral service professionals. His technical papers on Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, medical radiation cases, and smallpox are the most thoroughly researched articles on the subject in funeral service. His manual on controlling accounts receivable remains the premier authority on the subject.

He presently serves as Executive Director of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. Prior to moving to Indianapolis, he served as the Executive Director of the Wyoming Funeral Directors Association, a position he held for 18 years. He also served as the Executive Director of the Colorado Funeral Directors Association from 1988 to 1992. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) and the Council of Funeral Association Executives.

For six years he was affiliated with Dan Isard and the Foresight Companies providing financial and business services to independent funeral homes including business valuations, estate and tax planning, management services, expert witness services, as well as merger, acquisition, and business expansion consulting.

He is nationally known as a speaker and seminar presenter on various aspects of funeral service. He is one of the country's most in demand speakers on topics ranging from improving customer service, to funeral home management, to OSHA and other compliance issues. He has made over 200 presentations to groups in over 40 states.
