This online course provides practical, hands-on approaches to funeral home marketing for owners, managers, directors, administrative or funeral assistants, presenting creative and tested techniques that can be implemented immediately to deliver superior customer service. Development of a successful training program, emphasizing understanding personality traits and mentoring new hires, is covered, as well as approaches to create an environment conducive to better interaction with various types of consumers and to inspire customer loyalty.

Nicole "Nikki" McQueen received degrees in photography and advertising from Endicott College in MA. Nikki spent 12 years in the title insurance industry as a marketing representative for one of the nation's largest insurers. Her primary role included developing new business opportunities, creating innovative marketing concepts for a highly competitive market, and maintaining customer loyalty among existing clientele. 

Nikki was consistently recognized as a top producer for this Fortune 300 Company receiving numerous awards for both production as well as customer service. She has received recognition from other professional and civic organizations for her outstanding achievements and contributions to both her profession and the community. These awards include the Pinellas Realtor Association's Affiliate of the Year award, Women's Council of Realtors Gumby Award for outstanding customer service, Women's Council of Realtors Affiliate of the Year award, and the Queen of Hearts Court Princess Award, recognizing local women for their outstanding community service.

She credits much of her success to active involvement in a variety of community organizations, including Exchange Club of NE St. Petersburg; St. Petersburg Free Clinic; Lupus Foundation - Greater Florida Chapter; Eckerd Youth Alternatives - Hi-Five Pinellas program; The Queen's Court, Inc.; Suncoasters; Help-A-Child, Inc.; and the American Diabetes Association.

Nikki is currently working on publishing her first book, which will provide readers with a more in-depth look at customer service and ways to market your business to achieve first class status.

John T. McQueen, CFSP, is president and CEO of Anderson-McQueen Family Tribute Centers, and a second-generation funeral director. He also is owner and president of Sunnyside Cemetery, Inc., and founder and president of Affordable Memorials. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, John received his B.A. in Business Administration from St. Leo's University. He has received degrees as well from St. Petersburg College and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Tampa.

John has been actively involved in many professional organizations, having served as president of the Florida Funeral Directors Association; board member of the Funeral & Cemetery Alliance of Florida; state representative on the Policy Board for the National Funeral Directors Association; and most recently as Ambassador for the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. His strong belief in the need for continuous improvement as a professional led him to found FuneralReview.Com in 2003.

A lifetime member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, John serves on the Board of Trustees. He is an adjunct instructor in the funeral services program at St. Petersburg College. In addition to his professional involvement, John is actively involved in a variety of civic and social organizations in the St. Petersburg area. He has held numerous offices in many of these organizations and can attest firsthand to the benefits of relationship marketing.
 
John is a dynamic and sought-after speaker by organizations inside and outside the funeral profession.
